Overview
Welcome to Alvebakken (“we”, “us”, “our”). We operate this website and store (the “Services”) to offer a curated shopping experience. Our store is powered by Shopify, which provides the eCommerce platform that enables the Services, but your sales contract is directly with Alvebakken.
These Terms of Service (“Terms”), together with all policies referenced here (including our Privacy Policy and Refund Policy, govern your access to and use of the Services. Please read them carefully as they include important information about warranty disclaimers and limitations of liability.
By visiting, interacting with, or using the Services, you agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, you should not access or use the Services.
Made-to-Order (POD) Notice and Consumer Rights. Most products are produced on demand specifically for you. As detailed in our Refund Policy, we approve returns/refunds for documented manufacturing or printing defects. Crucially for EU/EEA consumers, we fully respect the mandatory 14-day Right of Withdrawal for non-personalized goods, as detailed in our Refund Policy.
Section 1 – Access and Account
By agreeing to these Terms, you represent that you are at least the age of majority in your state or province of residence, and you have given us your consent to allow any of your minor dependents to use the Services. To use the Services, you may be asked to provide certain information, such as your email, billing, payment, and shipping information. You represent and warrant that all such information is accurate and complete. You are solely responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials and for all account activity. You may not transfer, sell, or assign your account.
Section 2 – Our Products
We strive to represent products accurately, but colors or appearance may vary by device settings. We do not warrant that the appearance or quality of products will meet your expectations. Product descriptions may change without notice. We may discontinue or limit products at our discretion.
Section 3 – Orders
Orders are offers to purchase and are accepted when we confirm and process payment. Because items are made-to-order, fulfillment may start automatically; we may be unable to accommodate cancellation requests after acceptance. Your purchases are subject to our Refund Policy
You represent that purchases are for personal/household use and not for resale or export.
Section 4 – Prices And Billing
Prices, promotions, and discounts are subject to change without notice. Unless otherwise stated, posted prices exclude taxes, shipping, customs, or import fees. You agree to provide accurate payment information and authorize us to charge your payment method for all purchases. You warrant that you are authorized to use the payment method provided.
Section 5 – Shipping And Delivery
Delivery times are estimates only and not guaranteed. We are not responsible for delays caused by carriers, customs, or events outside our control. EU/EEA consumers: risk of loss passes when you take physical possession of goods. Other customers: risk of loss passes when we hand over goods to the carrier, unless local law provides otherwise.
Section 6 – Intellectual Property
All trademarks, brands, text, images, graphics, video, and other content on the Services are owned by Alvebakken, Shopify, or licensors, and are protected by intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or exploit content without prior written consent. All rights not expressly granted are reserved.
Section 7 – Optional Tools
You may be provided access to third-party tools. These are provided “as is” without warranties. Your use is at your own risk, and we have no liability for third-party tools.
Section 8 – Third-Party Links
The Services may link to third-party websites or services. We are not responsible for the accuracy, legality, or content of third-party sites. Your dealings with third parties are solely between you and them.
Section 9 – Relationship with Shopify
Alvebakken is powered by Shopify, but your sales contract is directly with Alvebakken. Shopify is not responsible for your purchases. You release Shopify and its affiliates from all claims arising from your transactions with us.
Section 10 – Privacy Policy
Personal data is processed under our Privacy Policy and by Shopify under its Privacy Policy (shopify.com/legal/privacy). By using the Services, you consent to such processing. Review both policies for details.
Section 11 – Feedback
By submitting reviews, suggestions, or feedback, you grant Alvebakken a perpetual, worldwide, royalty-free license to use such content for any purpose. You warrant you own the rights to your submissions and that they do not infringe third-party rights.
Section 12 – Errors, Inaccuracies and Omissions
We reserve the right to correct errors, inaccuracies, or omissions in product information, pricing, or availability without prior notice, including after an order has been submitted.
Section 13 – Prohibited Uses
You may not use the Services for unlawful purposes, to infringe rights, to transmit harmful code, to spam, or to interfere with security. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts for prohibited uses.
Section 14 – Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access at any time without notice if you violate these Terms. Provisions regarding Intellectual Property, Feedback, Limitation of Liability, Indemnification, Severability, Governing Law, and others survive termination.
Section 15 – Disclaimer of Warranties
EXCEPT AS EXPRESSLY PROVIDED, THE SERVICES AND ALL PRODUCTS ARE PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE,” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free use. Some jurisdictions do not allow disclaimers, so these may not apply to you.
Section 16 – Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Alvebakken, Shopify, and their affiliates are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, including lost profits or data, arising from your use of the Services. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where prohibited by applicable consumer protection law.
Section 17 – Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Alvebakken, Shopify, and affiliates from claims arising out of your breach of these Terms or violation of third-party rights.
Section 18 – Severability
If any provision is deemed unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain valid.
Section 19 – Waiver; Entire Agreement
Failure to enforce any right does not constitute waiver. These Terms, together with policies posted on our site, constitute the entire agreement between you and us.
Section 20 – Assignment
You may not assign these Terms without our consent. We may assign them without notice.
Section 21 – Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Norway, except where mandatory consumer protection law in the country of the consumer’s residence within the EU/EEA dictates otherwise. You and Alvebakken submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Norway.
Section 22 – Headings
Headings are for convenience only and do not affect interpretation.
Section 23 – Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms by posting changes on this page. It is your responsibility to review periodically. Material changes will be notified as required by law. Continued use after updates constitutes acceptance.

Section X – Returns (Consolidated)
This section is now consolidated into our Refund Policy. All returns, refunds, and your legal rights, including the 14-day Right of Withdrawal for EU/EEA consumers, are governed by our Refund Policy
Section Y – Force Majeure
We are not liable for delays or failures caused by circumstances beyond our control, including but not limited to acts of God, natural disasters, labor disputes, war, terrorism, government action, or internet outages.
Section Z – EXPORT & SANCTIONS COMPLIANCE
You agree to comply with all applicable export control and sanctions laws and not to use the Services for or ship to any person or country prohibited by such laws.
